You know that incredible rainbow of colors you sometimes see floating across water—the blues, purples, greens, golds, reds and copper tones that appear to move and change as the light hits them?

That was the inspiration for Dragon Pipeline.

We wanted to capture that oil-slick effect and put it in a bottle.

The Dragon Pipeline Series is a carefully selected collection of powerful color-shifting silica pigments inspired by everything from the thinnest rainbow sheen to the deeper, darker colors of a heavy oil slick.

BUILT AROUND THE COLORS OF THE SLICK

There are hundreds of silica colors we could have chosen. Instead of simply offering everything, we went through the options looking for the colors that best told the Pipeline story.

The result is a lineup that moves through auroras, rainbows, greens, roses, deep reds, copper and dark refinery-inspired shifts—colors designed to come alive as your bait changes angle in the light.

And because we couldn't leave well enough alone, we even sent a flake down the Pipeline for another level of effect.

A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY

Silica pigments are among the most powerful color effects we have available at the Dragon Den. You don't need much to make a dramatic difference.

Start light.

Seriously.

A small amount can produce beautiful shifting highlights while allowing the bait underneath to remain part of the effect. Add more and the color becomes deeper, richer and increasingly dramatic.

That's part of what makes Pipeline so much fun on the bench—you control how far you want to take it.

PUT THE PIPELINE ON YOUR BENCH

These are colors made for experimenting.

Pour them clear. Try them over darker colors. Mix them into your favorite recipes. Add flake. Change the concentration. Then take the bait outside and watch what happens when the light starts moving across it.

From bright aurora shifts to dark reds, copper and full oil-slick rainbows, Pipeline gives you an entirely different toolbox for creating baits.

We looked through the possibilities and picked the colors we thought deserved a place in the line.
